A Must-Read for Anyone in Their 20s Who Wants to Build a Better Future

Your 20s are a critical decade for building the foundation of your future. Looking back, there are a few key habits and mindset shifts I wish I had adopted earlier. Whether you’re just starting adulthood or looking to level up your personal growth journey, this list is packed with life-changing tips for young adults.

Here are the top 10 things I wish I started doing earlier:

  1. Learn Personal Finance Early and Start Investing in the S&P 500
Compound interest is the king. I wish I had educated myself about personal finance in my early 20s. Starting long-term investing could’ve helped me grow wealth passively over time. The earlier you start, the more time your investments have to compound.
  2. Save Aggressively and Spend Mindfully
I would have saved as much as possible and only spent on what I truly needed. Maybe 1% on things I wanted and just invest the rest. Learning smart budgeting habits early can set you up for long-term financial success and freedom.
  3. Read Books and Watch Documentaries
Spend more time reading biographies of successful people, exploring their mindsets, and learning how they view life and money. Dive into books on personal finance, wealth building, self-improvement, and any topic you’re curious about.
Remember: schools don’t teach you how to become a millionaire, you have to learn that yourself.
  4. Take Skincare Seriously
I wish I had been more disciplined with a daily skincare routine. It’s never too late to start, but the earlier the better.
  5. Practice Self-Love and Build a Strong Foundation
I wish I had focused more on self-love and building my own identity, instead of being overly attached to romantic relationships (though that’s easier said than done).
  6. Be Obsessed with Studying and Gaining Experience
If I could go back, I’d make the most of every summer by applying for internships, learning new skills, and gaining hands-on experience. Use your 20s to build your resume and gain exposure, and it will pay off later.
  7. Stick to a Regular Workout Routine
    HIIT, yoga, hiking, etc.
  8. Have a healthy diet
Choose brown rice instead of white rice. Tomato, beetroots, purple sweet potato, grapes etc.
  9. Start a business
Can be a small side hustle and learn along the way, get focused, take full advantage of the time we have on earth to learn, explore, achieve and experience
  10. Dream big, and take massive actions towards the goals.
Being young is a huge asset, anything you dream of achieving is possible. Just do it. Millionaires started with 0 net-worth too.
Set bold goals. Break them down. Stick to them. Show up daily.

This list could go on forever, and I’ll keep adding to it.
I’d love to hear from you too: What’s something you wish you started earlier? Share it in the comments and let’s grow together.
